
Mid- and small-cap funds are mandated to invest at least 65 per cent of the money in mid- and small-cap companies, respectively. The rest of it can be invested as they please.
On an individual level, many of these funds are known to put a lot of the remaining money on large-cap stocks, as they can be a safe bet during troubling times.
However, we have found five true-blue mid- and small-cap funds each. In other words, we mention the funds that have had the highest allocation to mid- and small-cap companies, respectively, in the last three years.
