We look at the equity allocation of 20 balanced funds in the market

Balanced advantage funds - mutual funds that largely spread their investments across equity and debt to combat market volatility - have gradually raised their equity allocation in the last 18 months to two years, implying increasing confidence in the stock market.
That said, 16 of the 20 funds still have equity allocation below the levels seen in April 30, 2020 - a period we can loosely say was a pre-COVID era.
