I have some units of Unit Trust of India which were purchased in 1995. How can I know the amount of that and what is the redemption process for the same? - Anonymous

Since our inception, we at Value Research have always advocated investing for the long term, especially when it pertains to equity. We are glad that you have invested more than 25 years in an equity scheme.

You can do either of the following to know the latest value of your investments:

  • Contact the customer care of the fund house.
  • You can visit the 'My Investments' section of your Value Research Online account. Once in the 'My investments' section, click on 'Add Investments.' Then enter the details of your investment. And that's it! You will be able to see the latest value of your investment. Learn how to create your portfolio on Value Research Online.

There are several ways to redeem your units.

  • You can redeem your units through the online platform of your asset management company. An electronic payment against the redemption request will be wired to you upon completion.
  • You can also approach the distributor of your AMC or visit CAMS or KFintech. You will have to fill up the redemption form, and the final amount will be credited to your account.
  • If you have dematerialised your units, you can directly redeem them through your demat account.
