After an insipid start, this tiny mid-cap fund has shot dramatically up the Value Research rankings, earning an upgrade from 2-star in end-2012 to 5-star in the last six months. It has outpaced its category by a whopping 16.6 per cent and its benchmark by 8.8 per cent annually in the last five years. Stability in the fund manager since 2011 after a furious shuffle in the initial years has helped both stock selection and returns.
