Summary: Axis AMC’s CEO describes a year spent rebuilding momentum and sets out what he expects from markets and where growth will come from. On passives, the question about trailing peers draws a measured reply on how the fund house plans to compete. How would you describe the past 12 months for your fund house in one sentence? The past year was about rebuilding momentum with discipline, strengthening investment outcomes, broadening capabilities and strengthening investor trust across changing market conditions. What was your single biggest mistake this year, and what did it cost investors? If we were to reflect on one area we could have executed better, it would be scaling a few high-conviction strategies earlier as investor interest in those themes accelerated. Importantly, this did not result in capital loss for investors; the impact was largely an opportunity cost, as some investors accessed those opportunities later than they might have otherwise. Our approach remains guided by disciplined growth, prudent risk management
