I am invested in Sundaram BNP Paribas Capex Opportunities Fund (G) since November, 2007. Since the returns are negative, should I exit?

Sundaram BNP Paribas Capex Opportunities is a sectoral fund, currently rated 4-star by Value Research. It invests predominantly in stocks of companies in the capital goods sector. From November, 2007 till February 11, 2010, the fund has been in the red (-10.03%).
When you had invested in 2007, the fund's performance was at its peak. Thereafter, it faced the downturn in 2008, where it could not manage to beat its category average. Since then, the fund seems to have been on a recovery mode. In our view, if this is the only fund in your portfolio, you must think of getting your money out. Instead of holding a sectoral fund, consider a consistent performing diversified equity fund such as HDFC Top 200, or DSPBR Equity.
