Quantum Long Term Equity Fund


Quantum Mutual Fund has launched its first scheme. A diversified equity fund, the scheme would be open for initial subscription between February 8 and February 25, 2006.

Th fund aims to achieve long-term capital appreciation by investing primarily in shares of companies that are included in the BSE 200 Index and are in a position to benefit from the anticipated growth and development of the Indian economy and its markets. The portfolio will tend to include shares of 25 to 40 different companies, and the market value of the holdings of any one company will tend to be in the range of 2 to 6 per cent of the total market value of the portfolio. Particular sectors or industries will not be a significant factor in the decision to add a company to the scheme's portfolio. The fund would benchmark its performance against BSE 30 Total Return Index.

The load structure applicable during the new fund offer period and on an ongoing basis would be the same. It will not charge any entry load. While an exit load of 4 per cent would be charged, if redeemed within six months, 3 per cent if redeemed after six months but before an year, 2 per cent if redeemed after 12 months but before 18 months, 1 per cent if redeemed after 18 months but before 24 months.
