Freedom and money

Since it's the season for freedom-themed everything, I feel I must join the bandwagon too and talk about financial freedom. Except that, I do feel that unlike an e-commerce site or a carmaker's freedom festival or whatever, there really is a deep connection between freedom and personal finance.
