It is a well-earned distinction, given it has beaten the benchmark and its peers consistently since inception over longer time horizons. This was evident from its sustained four-star and above rating for a long time until August last year. Its fund manager, Harsha Upadhyaya, CIO at the AMC, has over two-and-a-half decades of experience in the Equity Research and Fund Management domain and has been managing this fund since 2012. Currently, he manages four other diversified equity strategies at the AMC. Portfolio make-up The stock selection starts with a top-down approach built upon the premise that different sectors of the economy perform varyingly over different periods of the economic cycle. The fund looks for businesses with proven business models that are scalable, capital-efficient, and have a reasonable competitive edge.
