Franklin Templeton Announces Dividends in Income Schemes


Templeton Mutual Fund, has announced dividends under the monthly dividend options of four of its schemes ­ Templeton India Income Builder Account, FT India Monthly Income Plan, FT India Gilt Fund and Templeton India Short-Term Income Plan. A dividend of 1% (Rs.0.10 per unit of face value of Rs.10) has been declared under the monthly dividend plan of Templeton India Income Builder Account. In FT India Monthly Income Plan, a dividend of 0.75% (Rs.0.075 per unit of face value of Rs 10) has been declared under the monthly dividend option. Under the monthly dividend plan of FT India Gilt Liquid Fund, a dividend of 0.5% (Rs.0.05 per unit of face value of Rs.10) has been declared. In Templeton India Short Term Income Plan, a dividend of 0.6% (Rs.6per unit of face value of Rs.1000) has been declared under the monthly dividend plan.

All investments in these options as on November 29, 2002 are eligible for dividends and the ex-dividend NAV date is December 2, 2002 except for Templeton India Short Term Income Plan, where the ex-dividend NAV date is December 1, 2002.
