Both Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) and Mutual Fund (MFs) were net sellers in equities during the week ended August 9.
FIIs were net sellers to the tune of Rs. 81 crore while the MFs were net sellers at Rs. 25.55 crore according to the data released by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).
The FIIs gross buying in equities was Rs. 499.80 crore as against their gross sales of Rs. 580.80 crore. The MFs have made purchases in equities worth Rs. 203.41 crore as compared to their sales of Rs. 228.96 crore.
The FIIs continued to ignore the debt segment even in this week, while the mutual funds were net buyers in the segment.
