Buying a health insurance cover at advanced age is cumbersome and a costly affair. The buyer doesn't have much choices. And if the person suffers from any illness, insurers further raise the premium. We have listed a few insurance policies suitable to your father.

As your father is diabetic and suffers from hypertension, we have chosen senior citizen policies and special policies which cover diabetes without any waiting period. We have not considered policies which do not allow lifetime policy renewal. At old age it is not completely possible to avoid co-payment and sub limits, but we have selected policies with minimum restrictions.

Insurance plans that cover diabetes from day one are expensive. Insurance policies which cover all pre-existing diseases after a waiting period is comparatively much cheaper.

You need to be clear about your needs and buy a policy that matches your needs and fits your budget.
