House Voice

Changing Colours

After years of passive schemes, Goldman Sachs Mutual Fund is slowly getting into more active fund management…

The erstwhile Benchmark Asset Management was built on passive play, with its offerings on the exchange traded platform with funds tracking indices. In the process the fund house managed to drive the role of ETFs in one's portfolio. The change in ownership is slowly setting the template for active funds to be rolled out from this AMC. The first actively managed fund, Goldman Sachs India Equity, is a multi cap fund, which is a year old and is yet to scorch the performance charts. The Goldman pedigree is not fully tapped yet, which would not only bring in access to several global funds from its international offerings.
