Sticking to basics

Stick to the basics, work towards consistent fund performance and strive hard, investors will follow and so will the AUM

Strong stewardship has resulted in Taurus Mutual Fund holding on to its own. The mantra for its good performance is to stick to basics and to strive hard, according to Waqar Naqvi, the CEO. The focus is on maintaining performance consistency, especially in the equity funds and to keep increasing the assets that it manages, without ignoring revenues.

The fund house lets the performance of its funds to do the talking. Naqvi's belief remains firm that they should persevere and work hard in a disciplined manner, because differentiations today can be created over the long term. The AMC feels superior advice to clients including guiding them on when to exit and financial literacy in local and regional languages will help in the growth of the industry. To this effect, the fund house has conducted investor meets in several cities apart from focusing its advertising on investment concepts. The conviction to stay focused on delivering performance, which in turn will draw investors is what this fund house is working towards.
