Resumption of SIP registrations in HDFC Defence Fund

HDFC Mutual Fund has announced the resumption of fresh SIP registrations in HDFC Defence Fund, effective December 23, 2025. The fund house will accept new SIPs only under monthly frequency, capped at ₹5,000 per investor, aggregated at the first-holder PAN level.

Earlier, on June 12, 2023, the AMC had introduced a cap of ₹10,000 per PAN on SIP investments in the scheme to manage inflows. Subsequently, fresh SIP registrations were suspended from July 22, 2024.

With the latest announcement, the AMC has resumed fresh SIP registrations, but with a lower investment limit. Existing systematic transactions will continue to be processed, and there are no restrictions on redemptions or switch-outs. Fresh lump-sum investments and switch-ins, however, continue to remain restricted.
