While the Hang Seng Index fell 12 per cent, as China's stimulus package failed to excite the markets, Indian indexes showed resilience. The BSE Smallcap and Midcap indexes gained between 3 and 5 per cent, while the BSE Sensex rose by 0.9 per cent.
