I am investing via SIPs in HDFC Equity, DSP BlackRock Top 100 Eqt, SBI Magnum Emerging Businesses and ICICI Prudential Discovery for the past 1 year. I have been tracking the performance of DSP BlackRock Top 100 Eqt, which hasn’t been satisfying for a while now. Even HDFC Equity hasn’t done well. Should I move my investments to other funds?

We believe that 1 year is too short a timeframe to evaluate equity funds. You’ve chosen good funds that complement each other quite well. You have a multi-cap fund in HDFC Equity, a large-cap fund in DSP BlackRock Top 100, a small- and mid-cap fund in SBI Magnum Emerging Business and a value-oriented fund in ICICI Prudential Discovery. These 4 funds put together form a very good portfolio.
You should remember that all funds don’t perform well at the same time, which is why you should continue investing in them regularly over different market cycles to earn good overall returns. At this point, don’t tinker with your portfolio.
