Funds in Retirement

Have funds that are balanced and have some debt component for stability

I am retired and have Rs 15,000-Rs 20,000 a month to invest. Please let know what are the best funds that I can invest in?

Your interest in investing even in retirement is encouraging. Assuming you have income in retirement that takes care of your expenses and leaves this amount as surplus; we would suggest you go in for a balanced fund. These are steady and can absorb the shock of stock market volatility, yet offer you returns that are better than what a fixed return instrument would. You should consider investing HDFC Prudence or DSP BlackRock Balanced fund
