What are the various charges, like entry & exit loads and administrative expenses, incurred in investing in various ELSS funds?
- Gopal Bansal
The various charges for investing in ELSS are mostly similar to that incurred for diversified equity funds except the exit load, which is not charged in case of ELSS because of the compulsory three-year lock-in period. An entry load subject to a maximum of seven per cent can be charged, although most funds charge around 2.25 per cent. An annual expense ratio with an upper limit of 2.5 per cent is also charged to the investors.
