I have invested in a closed-end fund. Now, if I withdraw before maturity period is reached, what will be the loss incurred in such a transaction?
The funds that have come into the market over the last two years are half-closed funds. Meaning that one cannot make fresh investment in these funds, but current investors can pull out.
Your loss will be the exit loads, which have been stated at the time of your investment. This can vary between 1-3 per cent and depending on the period you have remained invested. If it’s been one year, then it could come down to one per cent.
