NTPC Green Energy is primarily focused on the renewable energy sector, specializing in the development, operation, and maintenance of solar and wind power plants. It generates renewable power and feeds it into the grid, supplying energy to various utilities or offtakers. The company’s operational and contracted capacity is mainly in solar energy (93.77%) and wind energy (2.40%), contributing to the majority of its revenue. The key customer base for the company includes government agencies and public utilities, with long-term contracts that ensure stable revenue generation. As of September 30, 2024, the company has a significant operational capacity of 3,320 MW in solar and 100 MW in wind power projects, and a total portfolio (including contracted, awarded, and pipeline projects) of 26,071 MW.
