'Even after the correction, mid and small caps aren't cheap'
Shreyash Devalkar of Axis Mutual Fund explains why valuation re-rating in fast-growing themes leaves limited comfort in mid- and small-cap stocks
Shreyash Devalkar is the Head of Equity at Axis Mutual Fund and brings over two decades of experience in Indian equities. He joined Axis AMC in 2016 as a fund manager and was elevated to the role in 2023. Today, he oversees six equity schemes with a combined asset base of around Rs 1.25 lakh crore, including flagship funds such as Axis Large Cap, Large & Mid Cap, Midcap, Multicap and ELSS Tax Saver Fund. Before joining Axis, Devalkar spent over five years at BNP Paribas AMC and earlier worked as a research analyst at IDFC Asset Management and IDFC Securities.
