Vivek Gedda of SBI Mutual Fund explains why global Big Tech valuations may be less stretched than they appear, and what that means for Indian IT stocks
Vivek Gedda is a fund manager at SBI Mutual Fund, where he manages the SBI Technology Opportunities Fund and the SBI Innovative Opportunities Fund with a combined AUM of Rs 11,207 crore. He joined SBI Funds Management in February 2022 and focuses on technology and innovation-led businesses. With over 14 years of experience in financial services, he has spent most of his career in equity research across the IT and auto sectors, including stints at HSBC Securities and Capital Markets India and HSBC Electronic Data Processing India. Gedda holds a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology-Madras, an MBA in Technology Management, and a master’s degree in Mechatronics, Robotics and Automation Engineering from Hamburg University of Technology.
