Templeton Mutual Fund has announced tax-free dividend in Templeton India Pension Scheme. This scheme is India's first Central Government approved pension scheme under the private sector and was launched in 1997. The record date for the dividend was December 23, 2003. There was a two-day book-closure in the scheme on December 24 and 25, 2003 .The scheme reopens for fresh purchases and redemptions on December 26, 2003.
