Can I switch to direct plan during lock-in period?

Equity Linked Savings Schemes (ELSSs) or tax saving mutual fund schemes come with a mandatory lock-in period of three years

Can I switch my investments in Equity Linked Savings Scheme (ELSS) from regular plan to direct plan during the lock in period? Or can it be done only after the lock-in period of three years?

Equity Linked Savings Schemes (ELSSs) or tax saving mutual fund schemes come with a mandatory lock-in period of three years. You cannot switch to direct plan from regular plan during this period. You can do it only after the mandatory lock-in period of three years. Remember, if you have invested via a Systematic Investment Plan (SIP), the lock-in period is applicable to every SIP instalment.
