Investing in foreign mutual funds

Foreign mutual fund houses like Franklin Templeton, Mirae Asset, etc are as safe as any other mutual funds

Is investing in the mutual funds purely or fully owned by foreign fund houses like FT and Mirae Assets, etc safe? These fund houses have some stellar funds. I am a bit hesitant to invest in them. Does Sebi have full control in protecting the investors money in them? Kindly clarify.

Foreign mutual fund houses like Franklin Templeton, Mirae Asset, etc are as safe as any other mutual funds. They are also regulated by Sebi and they also follow all the rules governing mutual funds in India. You are right that some of them have stellar funds on their stable. You can go ahead with your investment in them.
