Do I need to pay an exit load?

Mirae Asset Emerging Bluechip charges an exit load of 2 per cent on redemption within 182 days and 1 per cent on redemption between 183-365 days

I have invested ₹25,000 in Mirae Asset Emerging Bluechip -- Growth Option. I have held it for almost 11 months and now want to shift it to a dividend-reinvestment option. Is it possible to do that? If possible, will I be charged an exit load?

You can shift from the growth option of the scheme to dividend reinvestment option of the scheme. But you should remember that it would be considered a redemption in the existing scheme and a purchase in the desired scheme. Mirae Asset Emerging Bluechip charges an exit load of 2 per cent on redemption within 182 days and 1 per cent on redemption between 183-365 days. This means you will have to pay an exit load of 1 per cent if you are shifting to dividend reinvestment option from growth option before 365 days. You can avoid paying the exit load if you can wait for another month.
