Instead of focusing on big events, you should focus on your investment horizon and select a fund with a matching profile. For example, if you are parking the money for a few days or week, opt for a liquid scheme. If you are parking money for a few months to up to a year, opt for ultra short term scheme. Investing in a dynamic bond fund if you are investing for three to five years.
