Can I hold on to ELSS even after lock-in period?

Equity Linked Savings Scheme (ELSS) or tax saving mutual funds have a mandatory lock-in period of three years

I have been investing a lump sum amount in Axis Long Term Equity Fund. Can I hold the fund for another five years after the lock-in period of three years? Is there any clause that after the lock-in period of three years I have to close the fund and redeem it?

Equity Linked Savings Scheme (ELSS) or tax saving mutual funds have a mandatory lock-in period of three years. However, this does not mean that the investors should redeem their investment after the lock-in period. You can hold on to your investments as long as you do not need the money and are happy with the performance of the scheme.
