Short-term capital gains are added to the income and taxed according to the tax slab applicable to the investor

I had been investing through monthly SIP in JM Money manager fund from April 2014 which is currently valued at ₹2.3 lakh. I want to redeem complete amount now. What are tax implications and how to calculate short and long term capital gains for redemption as Income tax rules changed over the years for debt funds. Currently I am in 30% tax slab.

Short-term capital gains on debt funds are added to the income of the investor and taxed as per the applicable tax slab. Long term capital gains are taxed at 20 per cent with the indexation benefit.
