Edelweiss Mutual Fund has made the following changes in the fundamental attributes of Edelweiss Select Midcap Fund with effect from August 08, 2015
Name of scheme: The revised name of the scheme will be Edelweiss Emerging Leaders Fund.
Investment Objective: The primary investment objective of the scheme is to generate capital appreciation from a diversfied equity portfolio predominantly comprising of equity and equity related securities of mid and small cap companies.
Investment Pattern: The scheme will be investing 80-100 per cent of its corpus in equity and equity related securities of mid and small companies.
The existing investment pattern of the scheme allowed it to invest in equity and equity realted securities of companies falling in top 101 to 300 companies by market capitalisation. The scheme can also take derivative exposure up to 50 per cent of its corpus, earlier it was 100 percent.
Existing investors, who do not wish to continue with the scheme, in view of the proposed change can exit from the scheme between July 06, 2015 and August 04, 2015.
