Investing for 3 Years

For a short period of 3 years, an all equity fund could be disappointing. Consider a balanced fund instead

I am currently investing Rs 1,000 a month in HDFC Balanced. I am looking to start one more investment with a horizon of 3 years. Which fund from ICICI Prudential Dynamic, ICICI Prudential Discovery and ICICI Prudential Focused Bluechip should I choose?
Sachin

For a 3-year time period, it is undesirable to consider an all equity fund. From that standpoint, even though ICICI Prudential Dynamic and ICICI Prudential Discovery are impressive funds, they could turn out to be disappointing in the short-term. Hence, we would suggest you to err on the side of caution and invest in a balanced fund, which would be less risky over a period of 3 years. You can increase your investment in the balanced fund you already hold, or add ICICI Prudential Balanced Advantage to your portfolio.
