I am 38 years old, and want to invest in gold without buying it physically. I can invest about Rs 1 lakh right now. Is SBI Gold ETF a good option. What would you recommend?

SBI Gold ETF has been available for 5 years now. Gold ETFs allow you to buy gold without physically holding it and your investment value moves in line with the gold prices.
The only case for investing in gold is when you surely need the commodity on a future date. So you make small savings into gold and de-risk yourself from gold prices turning around or achieving a high. And at a future date, you can exchange that accumulation in the fund with real gold. Gold is on a downhill and don’t look at it as a short-term opportunistic investment.
