Samco Mutual Fund has appointed Pankit Shah as its new Chief Business Officer (CBO), as part of its ongoing efforts to scale its business and expand its footprint across distribution channels. Shah will oversee sales, marketing, product development and business strategy at the fund house.

A seasoned professional with more than 17 years of experience, Shah has held leadership roles across investment management, client relations, and distribution strategy. Most recently, he served as Director – Client Relations at ARGA Investment Managers, where he helped grow the firm’s presence across India, the Middle East and Southeast Asia.

His previous stints include senior positions at White Oak Capital, Motilal Oswal AMC, Axis Bank and Enam Securities. Across these roles, he has been instrumental in building B2B distribution networks, designing alternative product platforms, and driving fund-raising initiatives across geographies.

Welcoming Shah to the team, Viraj Gandhi, CEO of Samco Mutual Fund, said, “Pankit is going to play a very crucial role in heading business strategy and sales for Samco Mutual Fund. His experience over the years will bring immense value to our existing structure and significantly strengthen our reach and relationships within the distributor community.”

Shah holds a Commerce degree from Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics and is an All-India rank-holder from the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India (ICWAI).

His appointment comes at a time when Samco Mutual Fund is looking to differentiate itself through a data-driven, quant-based investment approach. The fund house currently manages assets worth over Rs 3,000 crore and caters to more than two lakh investors across 4,000 cities.
