Reliance Growth will do well if the momentum in the equity markets continues. Stay invested for now...

I have been investing Rs 2,000 every month for the last 3 years in Reliance Growth. I have heard that the fund has been doing well in the past 6 months. Should I stay invested or redeem?
- Girish

A majority of Reliance AMC's equity funds haven't been doing well in the past 3-4 years, because these funds have a prominent mid-cap allocation by design. But while the markets have been hostile for such funds, they're now doing well because of the recent bull run. If the momentum in the market continues, then funds like Reliance Growth stand to benefit heavily. Since you've invested in the fund through the lean times, you should continue holding it now when it is doing well.
