The Sensex posted 25.5 per cent return in 2012, the highest among all major global indices, while Hang Seng stood second by giving away a return of close to 20 per cent. Reflecting the tough economic climate that the European markets endured, London's FTSE 100 rose by just 4.5 per cent in 2012.


After three months of negative inflows, November witnessed the maximum net investments in 2012 at Rs 25,212 crore.
