I invest Rs 5,000 in Franklin India Templeton Pension via SIPs. How would you rate this fund?
-Angad Singh
Despite what the name of this fund suggests, it is not actually a pension plan. The fund invests around 60 per cent of its assets into equities and the rest in debt. It has a 3-year lock-in period and gets 80C benefits. This makes it a conservative vehicle with a tax advantage.
However, if you're looking to invest for post-retirement pension, this fund may not be the best vehicle. You should opt for the National Pension System instead.
