What kind of an asset mix would you suggest for short-term and long-term investors?

Investors who have a non-negotiable goal coming up in around 3 years should invest only in fixed income products. If your timeframe is 3 years, but your goal is negotiable, you should consider MIPs. Long-term investors, on the other hand, should have a predominantly equity exposure as per their risk profile. They should also have a little exposure to fixed income to keep their portfolio balanced.
