I have some money with me lying idle in the bank. Looking at the reduced interest rates in the bank, I am unwilling to put the same amount in a fixed deposit. I am looking for relatively safer avenues to park my money for a 2-year horizon. Will it be wise to park this lumpsum amount of Rs 1,50,000 in the Kotak GILT Investment fund at this point of time?

Yes, it would be wise to park your idle money in the Kotak GILT Investment. The fund has done well over the long run, and stands to benefit from a rate cut that is imminent in the next 2 years. Go ahead.
