I plan to invest Rs 2,500 a month via the SIP route for the next 10 years. I have shortlisted Franklin India Bluechip and SBI Magnum Emerging Businesses. Are these the right funds?

You have chosen good funds. Franklin India Bluechip has a long history of credible performance. The fund has maintained its style purity, so it won't require close monitoring. The other fund, SBI Magnum Emerging Businesses has been an excellent fund in recent times. But this is the kind of fund that is unlikely to do well all the time. So keep an eye on this fund. Overall, the two funds combined can give you good exposure to the market.
