Low-risk Investments

A portfolio made up of a large-cap fund & a balanced fund would work well for a low-risk investor…

I invest Rs 3,000 a month in HDFC Balanced - G and Rs 2,000 in Franklin India Bluechip - G. I am investing for my child's education and can tolerate low to medium risk. Are these good funds?

Both are good funds in their respective categories. Given your low-risk appetite, they suite your needs well since one is a large-cap fund and the other is a balanced fund. You can continue investing in them.
