Gold ETF Expense

Most gold ETFs have an expense ratio of 1 per cent. Find out how you can choose one…

Which is the gold ETF with the least expense ratio? What other factors should I keep in mind when choosing a gold ETF?
Mr Goel

The expense ratio is the only factor to keep in mind when choosing a gold ETF. That said, gold ETFs are pretty commoditized and most have an expense ratio of about 1 per cent. The SBI Gold ETF has an expense ratio of 0.96 per cent, but 4 basis points don’t make a big difference. The basis of your selection of a gold ETF could be the premium or discount to its NAV. On that front, the Goldman Sachs Gold ETF is the best.
