LIC Market Plus Underperforms

Your investments in LIC Market Plus are going down because it’s dependent entirely on the markets…

I had invested in LIC’s Market Plus – Growth in 2007. The value of my investments is going down. What can I expect from it?

In such ULIPs like LIC Market Plus, the returns that you can earn are dependent entirely on the performance of the stock markets. Your investments are going down in value because the markets haven’t gone anywhere in the past 3-4 years. If investment is your goal, then such ULIPs are not the ideal vehicle. It is a below-average scheme.
