Investing Directly

You can invest in funds directly through the fund company. If you've not investing before, get your KYC done first…

Is it necessary to invest in mutual funds through banks? Is it possible to invest through the fund house itself?
-Parth Bhatia

Yes, absolutely, you can invest in mutual funds directly. Most mutual fund company websites enable direct investments. If you have an online bank account, you can invest through it as well.

If you're a first time investor, you will have to get your KYC done before you invest. It is an easy procedure and all you need is a bank account and a PAN card. You don’t need to go through the KYC procedure again if you’ve invested in mutual funds before.
