Good International Funds

Investing in international funds can give you good diversification. Here are good ones to pick from…

Can you please suggest a good fund that invests in the international markets? I would like to start an SIP in that fund for the long-term. I have a good risk appetite.

There are a few international funds that you can choose from. A couple of well-performing ones are Birla Sun Life International Equity Plan A and Principal Global Opportunities, both of which diversify globally. Another international fund that has performed exceedingly well in recent times is the Motilal Oswal MOSt Shares NASDAQ Top 100 ETF. While this fund’s focus might look narrow, the underlying businesses in which it invests are globally diversified and derive their revenues from operations all over the world. From that standpoint, this fund is a global fund, even though the companies it invests in are domiciled in the US. The fund’s top 5 holdings are in tech companies, 18 per cent of its assets are in Apple, and since innovation is a key driver for the US economy, this fund will be reflective of that.
