What is your opinion about SIP investments in Mirae Asset China Consumption fund? Please also tell me if we can still invest in ELSS funds?

Mirae Asset China Consumption fund is an interesting theme, but you shouldn’t invest in such a fund if you don’t have investments in diversified equity funds. If you're investing in only 1 or 2 funds, then such a fund shouldn’t be one of them. Mirae Asset’s India Opportunities fund is a more attractive vehicle.

ELSS funds are valid tax-saving investments for one more year. You can invest in them for FY12-13 and save taxes.
