Redeem Infra Now

Most infrastructure funds have performed poorly, but this might be the appropriate time to redeem them…

I had invested in UTI Infrastructure 4 years back in two installments of Rs 50,000 each. The value of my investments is down. What should I do? Should I redeem and invest somewhere else?

We believe that you should redeem your investments. All infrastructure funds have performed very poorly in the past 3-4 years, resulting in losses for most investors. If you had invested in a diversified equity fund, you wouldn’t have been disappointed. At the same time, your investments in infrastructure funds would have seen some improvement in the past 1-1.5 months. Hence, this would be the most appropriate time to redeem your investments and diversify them.
