Funds can be Risky

Mutual funds can give you high returns, but they are market-linked investments & not risk-free…

I want to invest Rs 1,000 every month in mutual funds for a period of 3 years. Please tell me how.

We would suggest that you consult a mutual fund agent. If you can't do that, invest in a balanced fund that can give you better returns than a bank fixed deposit. But since this will be a market-linked investment, you will witness ups and downs. Hence, you should be clear about the fact that mutual funds can give you better returns, but they are not risk-free. To begin investing in funds, you will need to first complete your Know Your Customer (KYC) compliance. You will also need to have a PAN card and a bank account to invest in mutual funds.
