I want to invest in three types of mutual funds - liquid funds, Nifty funds and multi-cap funds. Please suggest a good fund in each of these categories.

You can choose any fund from the liquid fund category, as the difference between the returns of a good liquid fund and an average liquid fund is minimal. Hence, you can pick any liquid fund that has assets under management of over Rs 500 crore.
Coming to Nifty funds, the Goldman Sachs Nifty ETS is a good investment option within its category. Since this is an ETF, you will have to open a demat account to invest in it.
There are numerous multi-cap funds that have a 10-15 years old performance history. You can choose any one from HDFC Equity, Birla Sun Life Frontline Equity, and ICICI Prudential Top 100.
