SBI Short Horizon Debt Short-term has not seen even a single month of negative returns…

The conservative approach of the fund has helped it deliver better than average returns. The fund’s mandate ensures that it invests primarily into money market instruments with maturity up to one year but it also has the leeway to increase its maturity up to three years. Though the average portfolio maturity of the fund has largely stayed within 365 days, on a few occasions it has gone above a year. Over the past one year, it has averaged around 1.09 years and in June 2011 it touched its highest (2.72 years).

Out of the total 46 months of its existence, the fund has never delivered negative returns in any of them. At 0.69 per cent, its expense ratio is one of the lowest in this category.
